SATAII & Mac Pro Formatting Issue

hi all

hope can guidance...

installed additional hard drive (samsung sataii) yesterday unsure how many partitions should create , if guid partition correct?

followed instructions apple below:

after installing new drive, must format following steps:
open disk utility , select drive in list left.
note: if formatting primary drive, use disk utility program on install disk.
click on partition tab.
click on “options” , verify guid selected if bootable drive.
apply change clicking on “partition” button.


i'm not sure how many partitions should create , if guid partition correct. have similar issues in past?
