restore secondary drive from Time Machine

i searched forums , not find direct answer question. hope can me out one.

i'm moving itunes library , other files external drive. i'm planning on including drive in time machine backups. question is: if external drive dies, possible restore (and it) time machine onto new drive?

either browse tm folder of hdd , manually or can that.

or take @ carboncopycloner or superduper!, bit easier restore from.
