replacing hdd and optical bay will void warranty if user replaced

just called apple care , tech said hdd , optical bay can replaced apple technician @ apple certified store. if void warranty. parts can replaced ram. thought should share because saw thread while said will.not void warranty. want know how know did it, unless broke or something. ssd comes on tuesday , caddy comes friday-tuesday kind of dont want make 2 trips task. , know im not waiting when have shiny new toy : )

replacing ram or ssd/hdd not void warranty, unless damage in process. replacing optical drive void warranty.
