i assume "latest version" mean latest update office 2004. it's not latest version, office 2008 , office 2011 have been released since version.
you don't need "cleaner" or "maintenance" apps keep mac running well, , of these apps can more harm good. remove files/folders or unused languages or architectures, nothing more free drive space, risk of deleting important in process.

these apps not make mac run faster or more efficiently, since having stuff stored on drive not impact performance, unless you're running out of drive space. of these apps delete caches, can hurt performance, rather it, since more system resources used , performance suffers while each cache being rebuilt.

many of these tasks should done selectively troubleshoot specific problems, not en masse routine maintenance.

mac os x job of taking care of itself, without need 3rd party software. among other things, has own maintenance scripts run silently in background on daily, weekly , monthly basis, without user intervention.

there few things try.

close office apps , delete microsoft plist files, relaunch app(s). plist files located in /users/yourusername/library/preferences/ , begin com.microsoft. , end .plist

use font book (in applications folder) check corrupt fonts. disable or remove find.

if installed office properly, should available users, unless have parental controls restricting access.
