just yesterday bought 3.4ghz 27" imac, upgrading ram 16 , purchased wd book studio 3tb firewire 800 external hard drive storage. question is, best configuration hd timemachine (never used tm) , using hd storage well? thoughts partition drive 3 separate partitions or 2 partitions enough. of storage raw photo files. appreciate help. has been on 20yrs since using mac.
so going use external both tm , photo storage? if so, use 2 partitions 1 each use. in tm select appropriate partition want backup go to.
