Mac Mail/Cloud/Thunderbird email sync problem

i have @me.com email , use mail app macbook , iphone. started new job, , have use pc work. use thunderbird here, , have problem emails staying unread, , emails not sending iphones if thunderbird left open when leave office. there solution this?

 

do have thunderbird setup use pop or imap?
