Hard drive fail...again? :(

hey everyone,

freaked out might lose again, clearing out hard drive of unwanted documents , such , planning on backing later.

closed macbook pro , when opening later asked password, entered 5+ times, never getting "right" although knew right. turned off , restarted it, never made login screen.

tried hold shift nothing happening pressing alt, clicking on mac hd , still nothing. desperate. need of on harddrive , upset if has happened twice.

suggestions or input amazing.

it's possible deleted critical system. if have mac, connect 2 firewire cable , start dieing 1 in target disk mode pressing t right after hear chime. should appear external hard drive on other mac. here, copy on data.
