Handbrake Problems 2011 iMac / Lion / Apple TV

so having issues ripping dvd, handbrake said needed vlc downloaded , installed 64 bit version. handbrake said need vlc or vlc had not compatible.

had hb 0.9.5.

decided remove , start over.

downloaded handbrake 0.9.6 , said needed .....

libdvdcss.pkg

went site , downloaded package.

installed package , informed installation ok.

fired handbrake , tried scan dvd.

no luck !!!

kinda hangs.

ideas?????

 

sorry in situation,
new imac, digesting imovie. not found reason home movies download handbrake or vlc.
