my friend @ odds 16 year old son because refuses summer job. has told on , on clean room or put away laundry; stuff that. degrades bickering, yelling , resentment on daily basis. friend doesn't time spends playing computer games , that's source of argument.
but, he's straight honors student in advanced classes , plans on becoming chemical engineer. he's never late , has never been discipline problem. kid likes learning.
friend recognizes son's school achievements, can't tolerate laziness around house. advice?
the kid sounds bright, motivated , hard working. sounds me problem he's not incentivized behaviour friend wants.
