Pointer to new UIView

i have splitview master/detail application working on. had added additional view pops in popover window. within view wish access uiwebview item have on detailviewcontroller view. want pass pointer detailviewcontroller instance of new uiview gets created in popup. popup assigned via ib, storyboards, unsure of how access pointer instance of new uiview gets created. how pointer?
