is there way monitor , keep log of cpu usage times each process? maybe through app or mod or tweak. possible jailbroken device?
know appstore doesn't have can this. apps i've seen ones list process , give current overall cpu usage, doesn't give logging or ability pin point processes on time.
recall during battery-gate incident, users asked apple engineers install battery/performance monitoring app. possible?
example, sometime leave iphone in desk, charged, come later find dead. usage time 3hrs 27minute, while standby time @ 3hrs 44minutes. running whole 3hours eating battery away. doesn't happen hard figure out cause. leaves me guessing. mail/exchange/calendar looping, not sure.
know there lots of guides , advice on battery drain turn feature off or that, reinstall fresh, , that, trial , error. but, app or tool helpful in diagnosing causing battery drains. more concrete information instead of guessing.
if have mac, can download xcode mac appstore free. xcode includes app called "instruments" show detailled information on running apps on device, including ram , cpu usage. device can plugged in or remotely connected, , info appear in real time.
helps.
