How to find old (iOS 3.x) apps?

i have friend original iphone, , think has 3.1.3. keeps getting update notices apps, , once updates them, report work ios 4 or higher.

repo or website can find genuine versions of v3 apps? don't want them cracked in anyway (the iphone jailbroken though), older versions...

yes, have 1st gen ipod touch , when restored couple apps not backed itunes , see updated them not work before ios 4.0 or later! need original versions out few months ago. there must way these? if people have them backed on itunes can't share these relatively small 5 - 30mb files???
