External music control for iphone?

hi guys,
got iphone, , audio quality out great. use tape adapter listen in car, there 1 way in iphone falls short of ipod , previous android phone. there virtually no way control music without picking up, turning on, , looking @ phone.

ipod, easy navigate wheel , things (ideal). old phone, long press volume buttons skip tracks (not great, worked). have tried siri, , inconvenient skipping songs.

there external remotes give me functionality similar previous 2 setups (long press or actual set of controls)?

 

you 3-button remote adapter , put in between iphone , tape adapter.

don't know if particular 1 good, example.
