Does Xcode have a memory leak? If so, is there anything that I can do about it?

i have noticed xcode 4 seems have memory leak. when run program activity monitor shows using 100 - 600mb of ram, on time active memory usage climbs on 5gb. has else noticed this? i've read online , people have suggested have start , restart xcode, doesn't seem free memory. quit xcode , let sit few minutes, active memory usage still extremely high (even taking account other programs running). suggestions?

had since snow leopard, got worse in osx lion, had upgrade 8 gigs, or otherwise extensive coding/nib making, done ram in half hour 1 hour.
have little program called "free memory", once i'm getting quite full, quit xcode, run app, , can run xcode again while, it's great ***up apple, have live because.. well, have no other choice ;/
