The new iPad plays HD MKV files perfectly!

i got new ipad yesterday. while didn't expecting able play mkv files have without conversion, got pleasantly surprised when tried fun today in avplayerhd!

i've had rely on air video , handbreak in converting mkv files playback on ipad 2 , iphone 4s. tiresome got galaxy s2. may remember me posting thread before, complaining iphone 4's inability decode format. think thread got me @ least 100 downvotes...

made thread tell fellow anime fans still on fence new ipad - play 720p anime in mkv, 8-bit , 10-bit, ass subs without problem! here video of myself demoing below!



there goes final reason of keeping android devices. they're going trademe , luckily before galaxy s3 gets announced next month!

 

avplayerhd reason why, ipad not natively play it.

but, yes, cool. purchased avplayerhd yesterday save having convert media via air video etc

slight annoyance having load media onto ipad first.
