SSD vs. i7

i'm gonna buying 21-inch 2011 generation imac. (i'm tired of waiting apple update line)

want either 256gb ssd or i7 processor (i don't have funds both, sadly). i'm sure i'll have use out of ssd dunno if power i7 come play me. here's use thing for:

-writing apps in xcode
-web design
-playing games (mostly simple stuff)
-running windows via parallels or bootcamp
-word processing, email, , internet (a large number tabs open @ once)
-scanning papers
-music (often while doing of above)
-writing/recording music garageband
-editing simple movies imovie

know don't "need" either of upgrades satisfactorily accomplish of these things, or number of these things @ once, i'd love computer last long time--and mean both computer last long time (which helped getting ssd, since presumably take longer fail hdd) , able smoothly run more resource-intensive apps or versions of apps developed in future.

can't imagine have use 8 virtual cores, but...well it's $300 less getting ssd, that's factor since i'm soon-to-be law student.

wouldn't ever need more 256gb, btw. i'm on 2008 mbp 200gb hdd, , after 4 years it's 60% full.

also- think ssds coming down in price time soon? if i'd gladly wait until summer , ssd cheaper.

i'd go ssd. biggest bottleneck on pcs today hdd. remember, when updated core 2 duo macbook air came out 1.5 years ago, received, despite having 4-year old processor.
