my school's film club has pretty nice editing bay couple of macpros, use fcp7 exclusively. because im more oriented compositing , higher end systems, want use programs after effects, maya , smoke , more powerful systems, , ability quadministrate whole room full of imacs. thougt boot target disk mode, found out when ran app of target disk hd, never launch properly. im looking way make macpro in editing bay boot off of macbookpro entirely, can run apps, , use ultra powerful hardware, , computing cluster.

i don't think can boot mbp's hard drive on mp's hardware without removing or cloning drive.
