Macbook Freezes after upgrading RAM

so, problem has started, , it's happened 3 times far.

few days ago replaced 2gb of ram came white macbook (mid 2009), 6gb of ram. huge improvement , macbook faster ever.

problem is, since i've replaced ram, i've had macbook freeze on me 3 times. when freezes, literally freezes. unresponsive. way regain control force restart. happened first time while watching videos on pbs, , second , third times, away computer extended period of time, , returned find frozen.

i'm not sure if because of new ram, sure fix it. ideas?

sounds bad ram sticks. put 2 gb in , if stops freezing, should new ram replaced. these things happen.
