iPhone 4s screen gone blank/frozen

please advice me on issue.

had purchased iphone 4s singapore in grey market last november.

screen has gone blank/frozen. tried resetting iphone pressing power , home button continuously 45 secs iphone being charged.
tried restore factory settings through itunes.

assume hardware issue screen has gone bad , needs replacement?

should do:
-send singapore courier , repaired?

-send apple store when go usa , pay repair?

iphone 3gs brought mobily 2 years ago still working fine; wonder if screen issue going bad piece of bad luck or because got a? grey market.
