Find movies without ac3 tracks in iTunes.

hello,

wondering if there quick way make smart playlist or sort movies without ac3 tracks within itunes. have ripped hundreds of dvds on past year, , @ first not including second soundtrack ac3 pass-thru surround. well, changed mind halfway through, , started including 2 tracks, stereo , ac3 pass-thru. want go sometime , re-encode dvds without ac3 tracks can include them time. problem is, went in kind of random order when selecting dvds rip, , forgot movies don't have ac3 track. hoping there similar doug's scripts music find movies aac tracks. know sounds kind of lazy, , can check each one. curious if there quick , easy way this.

thanks!

hi lilscoy!

remember doing while back. don't think able find easy way in itunes, did find couple other ways it.

assuming you're on mac, first technique uses finder's smart folders. in finder, navigated itunes media folder , selected movies folder. set smart folder target movies folder , had spotlight filter set like: audio channels greater 2.

second technique uses script , tool bundled batch rip actions automator, set of actions wrote tagging , encoding. thread located @ top of forum. anyway, script looks @ each file in movie folder , creates tab-delimited text file of every movie listing movie name, whether it's hd or sd, , whether it's aac stereo or ac3 5.1. this, can open file in numbers , sort/filter anyway like. example have show movies sd/aac or hd/ac3.

i'm on iphone right now, if interested in either of these let me know , i'll dig bit deeper when i'm on mac.

thanks!
