Can an iPhone take 2.1 amps of charging?

i got kensington dual car charger. has 2.1 amp usb slot, , 1.0 amp usb slot.

did little bit of testing morning on way work. plugged iphone 4s 1.0 amp slot, , after 4 minutes iphone gained 3% of charge. plugged iphone 2.1 amp slot, , after 4 minutes iphone gained 3% of charge.

hoping iphone charge twice fast in 2.1 amp slot, didn't happen. iphone take 1 amp, in 2.1 amp slot, or what?

 

it can charge wither port won't charge faster. 2.1 amp slot designed ipad.
