iphone 4 and public wifi

my iphone 4 unlocked, running ios4. live in apartment block has wifi. subscribed wifi on macbook pro , works fine. iphone 4 sees network , lets me 'connect' doesnt bring screen when open safari enter user name , password can log on account. therefore cannot use internet through wifi. says im not connected. have tried resetting network settings , forgetting network etc. did work once many moons ago fecked. please before phone gets launched through 10th story window. cheers

if connection you're trying on requires enter credentials- screen should pop @ shortly after try enter address.

admit, don't know initiates pop screen. try careful. turn wi-fi off, on- wait. if popup screen doesn't come up, check weather app. should, bring login screen before says "updating..." @ bottom.

if doesn't work, try enter address, login screen has show @ point.
