Bootcamp help- black screen/ blinking cursor

can bootcamp problem? friend of mine has late 2011 15" macbook pro shows blank screen top left blinking cursor whenever boots win7. i've tried booting windows cd system repair, no joy. i've updated latest osx firmware, didn't help. i've looked around forums , couldn't find definitive answer problem. seems me there's problem boot partition windows, if there's way fix without having reload, appreciate it. tia

 

this fix worked me.

forum:

"1. put windows 7 installation disc in disc drive, , start computer.
2. hold down option key till available disks displayed , select dvd. press key when prompted.
3. select language, time, currency, keyboard or input method, , 4. click next.
5. click repair computer.
6. click operating system want repair, , click next.
7.in system recovery options dialog box, click command prompt.

type (these commands safe)
code: bootrec.exe /fixmbr
code: bootrec.exe /fixboot
code: bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd
*press enter after each command.*
*restart computer.* "
