TIP: Using Logitech V470 Cordless Laser Mouse for Bluetooth on a PPC Mac

been using v470 flawlessly years since 2 weeks ago i've been having problems, right point of putting aside , used wacom tablet instead, it's cumbersome.

suspected there's wrong old logitech driver, went company's site , downloaded fresh driver copy. when it's downloaded found out it's intel only! , can't find of old drivers (for ppc machines) there.

before throw out v470 , buy new one, decided bit of research , found steermouse, billed "advanced driver usb , bluetooth mouse". it's free.

http://plentycom.jp/en/steermouse/

steps:

1. deleted logitech driver using it's app lcc (it resided in application/utilities).

2. installed steermouse.

3. restarted mac

4. used bluetooth pref panel pair old v470 mac.

5. started steermouse , recognised mouse.

6. done! mouse came life, acting if it's totally new again , far no problems!

thought i'd share.

cheers!

i think mouse jackpot in terms of macos.
had 2 units in past, both worked fine in windows, in macos, or without lcc after while began hanging...
on intel macbook.
asked logitech change rf mouse, works fine lcc in powerpc , intel.
