Mac Mini or AppleTV?

i'm looking purchase either apple tv or mac mini within next few months. know apple tv can stream itunes music library, , jailbreak can browse internet. know mac mini have ability store things on because has hard drive.

new rumors apple tv support full 1080 p, i'm wondering if better option. or i'm wondering if mac mini anyway, that can support 1080 p itunes.

ideally i'd connect mac mini hdtv, , use iphone or ipad trackpad/keyboard combo.

there drawbacks using mac mini this? plan on waiting new release of mac mini or apple tv either way.

suppose if go route of apple tv, can pick new ipad due difference in cost between mini , atv.

potentially on mac mini wouldn't able using apple tv? there speculation new apple tv allow web browsing natively?

also, it's worth, entire post done using siri on iphone. not bad.

 

i use mini media center. it's connected via hdmi hdtv, , external display. use plex manage , play movies , tv shows. can use setup itunes, if choose. in addition, have mini available other purposes atv can't used for. use apple wireless keyboard control plex across room, can use apple remote or iphone or ipad.

overall, found mini more flexible atv. there's no need "jailbreak" mini play media type, unlike atv.
