Is it worth the upgrade? (MBP)

hey guys.
have had mbp (refurb, 2011) few months now. love it, no doubt. wondering, though, if more power it. have 2ghz intel i7 processor, , amd radeon hd 6490m 256 mb. laptop came 4 gb of ram, adequate. moving towards fcp/fcpx editing though , wondering if worth upgrade either 6 or 8 gb of ram. advice appreciated.

 

i it. 2x4gb sticks. ram cheap , computer going happy if you're going start using more intensive programs
