my dad has iphone 4 purchased on launch day here in uk. mine, gave him when got iphone 4s. has not been getting signal in places, 1 bar in odd place or two. both on o2, , step-mum , when compare our signals dad tends have 'no service', whereas 5 bars 3g, , step-mum (who has 3g).
have tried restoring phone - seems if there problem phone itself.
trying dad go apple store looked at, since out of warranty - , tried charge him £120 repair faulty home button in october.
there else can try? , know how apple charge replace it?

i had issues signal before updated ios 5, using rubber cover of sort helps, great signal !
