Anyone have trouble playing content with hdmi through receiver?

i have 4 apple tv's (atv2) throughout house, 1 connected receiver hdmi cable, others go directly tv. 1 connected receiver has lot of trouble playing content. netflix , own content. often, practically time, message there error playing content. movies itunes collection on network. can go other room , content plays fine. not affect atv movie rentals, if rent atv works fine. else experience or have suggestions fix?

i use hdmi cable go atv directly tv. use digital optical cable go atv receiver. no problems ever.
