Processor Change...?

i wondering something: since macbook air has intel core 2 duo chip in it, couldn't technically upgrade chip core 2 quad? there 1 core 2 quad runs on lga 775 platform i'm assuming (have little more digging) processor based on.

on other hand kind of scared open mac , mess around cpu because got @ christmas , if ruined kill myself!
