MBP HDD available space readout problem. see pic

has had problem this? right click on hdd , hit "get info" , tells me have more available space hdd has. know how fix this?

 

for space issues, there few things can try:

• begin restarting computer first step. resolves issues.
• for time machine users on lion, space may being consumed time machine local snapshots, can disabled.
• search finder see if space being consumed large file or several large files. adjust 50gb in illustration whatever size deem appropriate.

• use omnidisksweeper, jdisk report or grandperspective see how space being used on drive. of these apps may show more detail others, try several.
