iPhone 4s signal issues

sup guys, wondering if it's known issue or not 4s have signal issues? i'm on 5.0.1 (jailbroken) , signal seems extremely weak. gf has 4; put them both in field test mode , right next each other 4s show -101 or higher , 4 show -89 right next 4s in same spot. 99% of time 4 have better signal wherever are. phone defective? i've tried both phones side side no case on devices make possible. think?

both phones jailbroken on 5.0.1

 

the iphone 4s , iphone 4 don't , never had signal issues.
