How to start page numbers on the second document page on Pages 08?page

friends,
i'm trying start page numbering (pages '08) on second page of document, first page cover. have tried 'auto-page numbers' 'hide number on first page' hides number 1 first page of document. have been layout inspector , tried 'start at: __' 1 still not work. (there old thread this, posts not work). suggestions? much!

at end of page 1, insert section break instead of page break. restarts page numbering , known work in ms office , libre office i'm sure work in pages, though can't test when i'm away mac...
