did dual led make way new ipad? if has screen brightness increased on ipad 2?
the latest analysis of display , backlight said has 72 vs. 36 leds. however, required, retina display's pixel density requires more light. far, brightness setting same, or higher had ipad 2 (of course, 1 expect control scaled new display , backlight).
in event, full brightness similar previous models (i sold ipad 2 before receiving 3, can't compare it. did comparisons original ipad, , brightness same same setting.)
doesn't mean retina , previous displays comparable in other sense. new display has broader dynamic range - "black" on original's display, looks dark gray when put side side retina. black much, deeper on new display - start comparing plasma's wide dynamic range.
