Can't download from App Store, stuck on "Waiting"

i can't seem download app store on 5.0.1 ipad 2. every 1 try gets stuck on "waiting". i've tried leaving 12 hours+, no luck.

tried signing in both mine , girlfriend's appleid, same problem. tried turning automatic downloads on , off, both ways, no luck.

if download itunes store on computer, sync, go onto ipad fine.

i've tried rebooting, hard reset, etc, etc.

 

some apps not download unless have recent update of os. try downloading 1 app @ time see if pop message.
