Best Mac OS for gaming: 10.6.8 or 10.7.x?

i've got older macbook pro (2.4 ghz, 4 gb ram) , i'm still running 10.6.8 on it. @ point i'm going have upgrade lion, before happens want know i'll lose or gain when comes gaming on mac.

i'd appreciate if answer or of following questions:

• is still possible, under lion, turn off mouse acceleration? heard grumblings no longer possible. can confirm or deny me?
• are graphics drivers improved under lion or see frame-rates drop?
• does myth ii still work under lion?
• how steam games l4d, l4d2, , tf2 under lion?

myth ii powerpc, no.
in start many games did have issues updated graphic drivers, think have been fixed.

don't believe older machine benefit much, drivers card mature (you have nvidia 8xxx or 9xxx series).
newer graphics cards you'll better performance, due updated drivers.

still have 10.6.8 on main machine, , i'm not gonna upgrade until have to, have 10.7 on laptop.
