transferring photos from IMAC to Memory card

i trying transfer photos emory card,, created special album in photo library of photos want transferred (407) of them. export them finder , should putting themin misc or dcim folder- tried both , when done , put card in camera tells me there no images there...
put card computer , tell me have 217 photos there...
confused. can please me
