Carrying over data plan from iPad 2 to iPad 3

so have at&t data plan on ipad 2. auto-renewed yesterday.

when new ipad can log in account on there , data routed there? or have switch sim cards? if switch sim cards wouldn't effect 4g service, correct?

why don't call at&t , ask? after all, they're ones can tell sure.
