Itunes movies in the cloud?

i see 2 of movies in cloud. these digital copies. wondering if copy dvd , import cloud stream later?
also, format video can stream new apple tv? mkv? m4v?
these need imported itunes?

mp4/m4v, , yes need in itunes library.
