need to delete thousands of Mail messages with no content: help

hi there,
please save me carpal tunnel.
reasons unknown (to me) have thousands of copies of mail messages in sent box. have in 'to' field, , 'subject' field , have date, have no content.
i've been going through, deleting them, i'm getting sore hands...
there easier way delete lot of them?
(i know leave them, i'm trying put 2009 sent emails folder in mail, , selecting huge number of emails , dragging them on doesn't work if 1 email 1 of these bogus ones).

cmd+a highlight them , hit delete or trash button.
