Xterm window does not accept keyboard input

hello, having problems xterm window not allowing me type. have simulator class opens xterm window. using x11 execute simulator. doing ssh'ing server, running program opens xterm window. when execute it, xterm window pops can not type in xterm window. can resize window can not use scroll bars or type. x11 terminal works great (except copy , paste :/). when try run in terminal.app, tells me can not create xterm window.

here computer specs:

intel core 2 duo macbook pro running mac os x lion 10.7.3

 

disregard this. x11 , xterm working fine evidentially dont know how read directions.
