Where did my ARC checkbox go???

hi guys,

i'm re-learning objective-c , book i'm using uses arc, checkbox arc no longer appears when create new project in xcode 4.2 (you know how there checkbox says "use arc", not there anymore 0_0).

has had happen before or know how fix it? screwing exercises i'm working on because objects aren't being released.

edit: yes i'm aware can manually thats when go through steve kochan's book again.

no. snow leopard version of xcode 4.2 doesn’t support arc @ on mac os x, because doesn’t include 10.7 sdk. xcode 4.2 snow leopard support arc ios though, , xcode 4.2 lion supports both mac os x , ios. means need lion system build arc application runs on snow leopard.
