Software Update NOT WORKING (Snow Leopard)

hi, using osx version 10.6.8 on macbook. opened itunes other day told there update available (itunes 10.6) clicked button download it. opened 'software update' , stated search respond telling me there no updates available. expecting update safari, iphoto , itunes.

today tried search again clicking apple logo software update. after 45 mins or of 1 search came no available update, when there are.

wondered if else has or experiencing problem , if has managed fix/figure out solution??

 

software update works me on 10.6.8. happen in another, temporarily created, user account?
