Macbook pro 2008 - logic board

hi everyone, first post, in right place.

have problem, logicboard friends macbook doesn't work, spilled water on macbook (keyboard) turned off , that, laptop turned on, keyboard , optical drive wouldn't work, of keyboards.
anyways tried opening macbook , destroyed in logicboard (a part cable attached) think cable fan, either way can't turn macbook @ now. thinking idea buy logicboard ebay, around 200-250$, not bad.

 

if sure lb maybe...but if hdd ram etc fried...(likely) repair isn't viable.

take out hdd, place in caddy (usb) , see if can read drive or if fires @ before spending $$$ on lb might not fix issue.

maybe if won't work @ all, sell spares..
