Is this some sort of malware for OS X ?

i @ web site , got many pop ups , tried close , keeps popping on , on again.i found exe files in download folder , more exe files downloading downloads folder. know exe files cannot harm on os x windows .

know how happen.


safari hacked , why getting pop ups , when try close pop again. restarted computer , seem have fixed it.
