replacement dvd burner internal

can put me straight on replacement dvd burner fit jan 2008 800mb macbook please? has original lg/hitachi drive in [according forums] has died. i'm loath replace same many seemed have problems. cant find many forum discussions else fit, , more reliable! seems apple did use different drive avoid serial swap-ins did under warranty, cant find out what.
