How much bandwidth does online PC gaming use? (tethering question)

was considering using lte tether play games battlefield 3 , not when i'm @ friend's house time time. he's got crappy 1mb connection rather inconsistent. if tethering game uses lot, i'll not tether of course. data kinda precious.

depends on game. games download lots of data machine, others not. theres no way answer.
