Goodbye MacBook, hello "new iPad". Tips, apps, accessories?

took plunge , sold 08 unibody macbook pro , using cash buy 32gb ipad. have no other computer (my iphone all), plan on buying new macbook end of year (read: waiting refresh) have backed , media files synced roommates comp.

using sole computer. using content consumption little content creation. i'll type documents here , there, want stream movies (free if possible), need print. designing, art, photos , too.

tips have me? apps must have? accessories must get? games must play?

i'm excited camp out , friday. in advance.

 

and how plan activate, sync, , restore if need without computer running itunes?
