Getting files onto an old Mac

hi all,

i've been trying work out solution little conundrum , can't quite details.

have 2 old macs: powerbook duo 230 , macintosh plus. how can files internet them?

here details:

mac plus has external scsi harddrive.
duo has external floppy drive (untested 10 years) , _might_ have scsi dock in attic.
have 2011 mac mini (probably useless task), ibook g3 (original blue toilet seat) system 9.0.4, scsi zip drive , usb zip drive.

obvious solution connect ibook internet, download files, save on usb zip drive, , use scsi zip drive files onto old crocks.

here questions:

- ibook g3 work usb zip drive; can format disks , need special driver?
- if so, can format disks mac plus , duo can read them?
- can mac plus read zip disks without special driver? believe read needs special driver format them , boot them first stage want read them.

suggestions or comments welcome.

thanks,

daniel

the ibook use usb zip drive without hitch. duo , mac plus, may take work. both of them run os 7.5.5 free download apple , know fact used zip drives , discs under os years ago. so, if they're running older should still okay in theory, wouldn't know sure when iomega started supporting zip drive software. should able read , write hfs formatted disk without hitch until os 10.6 killed off support writing old hfs formatted drives.
