Apple Employee Mistake?

today while in apple store, overheard apple employee helping customer trying buy ipad. , directing customer around the room, pointed @ 1 corner , said "there's ipad 3, ipad 2, etc. thought weird calling ipad 3 because that's not it's called. know name doesn't matter, thought bad because seems little bit of false advertising.

 

it's third generation ipad. so, apple employee called ipad 3. false advertising? hardly, not little bit.
