Help erasing data from unlocked/jb 3GS

i apologize, sure question has been asked numerous times, want make sure don't screw up... have 3gs getting ready sell, , want erase of data it.

has original baseband (4.26.08) , running ios 4.3.3. unlocked , jailbroken.

erase of data, , upgrade ios5, if possible, making absolute sure keep unlock available.

can kindly point me in right direction? thank in advance!

 

just update 5.0.1 , make sure not restore backup
